More information on Jean-Michel Lenoir

Jean-Michel Lenoir's passion for nature from an early age led him to photography to capture magical moments of nature and wildlife. Starting with wildlife and wide spaces, he developed his own vision of photography. Landscape photography is an eternal quest for atmosphere where the light and the quest of beauty are key references, his aesthetic landmark. His photographic intention relies on his magnetic attraction for wide spaces combined with his quest of beautiful lights.

Dawn whispers

Lenoir can be found before the sun rises anywhere from the shores of Scotland's Harris Isle to Norway's Senja Island to France's Mont Ventoux. With an innate fascination for the natural would, Lenoir's camera has led him through some of the most elevated and turbulent terrain Europe has to offer. In his search of atmospheres that show the complexity of nature's elements by interacting, he often finds himself in unpredictable weather hoping to capture moments that are not only magnificent but sublime.

The feeling of aliveness and freedom Lenoir gets from being alone in nature carries him through these arduous conditions and allows him to feel most himself. What Lenoir is able to capture leaves his viewers with a placid humility that forces them to realize their place in the universe and transports them to unimaginable heights not every wanderer is so blessed to reach.
