Wild Trees
April 15 – May 30, 2021
ABOUT
Throughout human history, trees have served not only as vital physical resources but also as powerful symbols, conveying what words alone cannot for Nicolas Auvray. The wild trees featured in this exhibition transcend the simple architecture of roots, trunks, and branches. Each photograph presents its own universe of complexities and metaphors, offering a fully realized interpretation rather than a literal depiction.
From the dancing silhouettes of the Flaming Birch to the sun-drenched bark of the Boab tree, each tree carries a history that extends far beyond the rings of its trunk, inviting viewers to explore the stories, emotions, and life embedded within these living forms.
