ABOUT
Claire and Siri are a collaborative artist duo—one French, the other Norwegian—who have been painting “with four hands” for nearly a decade. Their shared practice is defined by the convergence of two distinct yet complementary perspectives on the plant world, forming a visual language that has become their signature.
In ROOTS, Claire and Siri explore the strength and vitality of nature as a living force. Their works translate a sense of wonder through material contrasts: the rough density of tree trunks set against the lightness and movement of foliage. Through this dialogue of textures and forms, the artists seek balance and harmony, drawing inspiration from natural structures and classical ideals of proportion.
Rooted in universal symbols found across cultures, their work invites reflection on origin, growth, and humanity’s relationship to the natural world. By engaging with themes of roots—both literal and metaphorical—Claire and Siri prompt viewers to consider their own place within a larger living system.
Through this sustained collaboration, Claire and Siri aim to contribute to a broader collective consciousness, offering their work as a meditation on connection, balance, and the enduring meaning of life.
