ABOUT
Belgian artist Denis Meyers transforms urban surfaces into immersive landscapes of language, turning walls into living stories. Known for his hand-cut sticker faces, or “perso,” Meyers brings the discipline of daily writing and drawing—learned from his grandfather, typographer Lucien De Roeck, designer of the 1958 World Expo poster—into every work he creates.
In this exhibition, every room becomes a chapter, with words flowing by the thousands. Using spray paint, brush, acrylic, and markers, Meyers recounts his own life, his city, and the people he encounters. Passersby leave traces within the work, but at its heart are family and love—personal and intimate stories that resonate universally. Black, grey, and white dominate, punctuated with vibrant colors for this presentation. Words of varying size, style, and medium occupy the surfaces, weaving together spontaneous inspiration and careful construction. Drawing on decades of experience in street art, graffiti, and stickers, Meyers guides viewers into a universe of words that balances immediacy with deliberation, intimacy with public presence.
