While some may describe his work as abstract, Stricher himself rejects this label. He approaches each canvas as an extension of a living being, intimately connected to nature. The resulting images are guided by instinct and unconscious impulses, capturing moments of raw emotional expression.

Stricher’s practice is deeply informed by his fascination with the School of CoBrA painters, including Appel, Lindström, and Jorn. Their exploration of color and materiality inspired his own investigations into the potency of pure color.
